The owner bought this boat in 2015
The Westsail 42 is a William Crealock designed full keel blue water cruising boat intended for the sailing couple to cruise the open ocean. She has a full teak and holly sole, teak and oak woodwork in the interior. In a recent survey, the surveyor noted that “She has a custom interior that exceeds the fit and finish of factory boats.” That surveyor is well aware of the fit and finish of original Westsail factory finished boats, and made that comment directly to the current owner.
She is a cutter rig and both the rig and the sails are in good condition. She was hauled out in December 2016 for new bottom paint – two coats of Micron 66 in black. Hull and deck are very sound and there are no leaks – she is a very dry boat. And the engine has less than 600 original hours on it. She was originally an East Coast boat and was sailed extensively in the Florida Keys before she was brought back to the Bay area.
